Q: Is the Dale Community Center a 501(c)(3) and is my gift tax-deductible?
A: Yes! We’re a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law, and you'll receive a receipt for your records.
Q: I donated after December 10, 2024—can I still get a tax-deductible receipt?
A: Absolutely! We were officially granted 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status effective December 10, 2024, and were notified on June 23, 2025. This means that all donations made to the Dale Community Center since December 10, 2024, are retroactively tax-deductible. If you’d like a written donation receipt, please email us at dalecommunityctr@gmail.com, and we’ll be happy to send one to you promptly.
Q: Where do my donations go?
A: Your donations support youth programs, community events, and general operations—making a direct, local impact. A PayPal donation allows you to select a specific DCC program or event to contribute to.
Q: What are the ways I can donate?
A: You can donate via:
Amazon Wishlist (in-kind gifts)
Drop-off for in-kind donations
We also accept employer matching gifts—let us know if your company offers matches—we're happy to help!
Q: Can I make a recurring donation?
A: Of course—monthly or one-time gifts are both welcome. Recurring donations help us plan programs year-round.
Q: Can I donate anonymously?
A: Yes! We respect your privacy. Let us know your preference when donating, and we’ll honor it.
Q: How is my personal and payment information used?
A: We take donor privacy seriously. Your information is secure and not shared with third parties. Read our full Privacy Policy for details.
Q: Can I donate in honor or memory of someone?
A: Yes! Use the optional notes fields when paying by check, Givebutter or PayPal when donating, and we’ll handle the rest.
Q: Do you provide a gift acknowledgment?
A: We do! You’ll receive an emailed receipt upon request. Written acknowledgments are provided for gifts over $250, as required by the IRS.
Q: My employer offers gift matching. Can you assist?
A: Yes! Please send us your employer’s information, and we’ll provide the necessary paperwork and instructions. Matching can significantly amplify your gift.
Q: What are your current in-kind needs, and are pre-owned items acceptable?
A: We’re currently accepting the following in-kind donations.
Chalkboard cleaning supplies
Disposable plates, cups, and utensils
Trash bags
Ground coffee
We are also in need of larger items such as a deep freezer, a refrigerator with an ice machine, a clothes washer, and a clothes dryer—and yes, used or gently used units are perfectly fine.
